Bring out the egg-nog and hang the stockings, because one of the most magical holiday films of all time is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on October 26th to celebrate its 25th anniversary! Lionsgate Home Entertainment presents the beloved Christmas classic Santa Claus: The Movie 25th Anniversary Edition, starring renowned Oscar® nominees Dudley Moore (Arthur, Lead Actor, 1981) and John Lithgow (The World According to Garp, Supporting Role, 1982) in the timeless tale of a runaway elf named Patch (Moore) whose toy aspirations place Santa and Christmas at risk.

Offered on Blu-ray for the first time, the movie has become a Christmas tradition and this special edition release includes a variety of bonus materials including deleted scenes, a making-of featurette, audio commentary and theatrical trailers for the enjoyment of families and kids of all ages.

A master toymaker discovers a magical kingdom of elves at the North Pole. There he is entrusted with special powers to become Santa Claus and meets Patch (Dudley Moore), an eager-to-please elf who becomes mixed up with a dastardly toy tycoon’s (John Lithgow) plans to take over Christmas.

  3. Same here Justin. I haven’t seen this movie in years, but it is great to have it coming to Blu-ray in the U.S. I was once tempted to import the Blu-ray release from another country, but I’m glad I held off. I’m looking forward to it!
