Hi Broken Silence,

No the film has always been in 1:85:1 aspect ratio. If you notice, the other Pixar film in this ratio is Monsters, Inc. which is another Pete Docter directed film.

He’s never stated why he used the 1:85:1 ratio for both of his Pixar projects, but it’s probably just his preference ratio.

Wasn’t this film in 2.40:1 aspect ratio? I could’ve sworn it was. At least the screening I attended was shown in letterbox.
