Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a November 3rd release date for Godzilla (1998). The Blu-ray release will feature the DVD extras, as well as the new MovieIQ feature. The Blu-ray will feature a 1080p AVC encode, as well as 5.1 lossless audio, although which type is not specified.

6/29/09 Scooby-Doo!: The Adventure Begins This September
Warner has announced a September 22nd release date for the direct-to-video live-action film. The Blu-ray release will include a 1080p VC-1 video presentation, 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track, and a slim selection of extras. Exclusive to the Blu-ray is a Digital Copy, and pop-up trivia track. Warner will also be including a DVD copy of the film, as part of their new combo packs when releasing family films. Unlike other studios, they will keep the 35.99 MSRP. High-res cover art coming soon.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced an August 25th release date for the Julie Roberts/Clive Owen film. The release will come to Blu-ray with a 1080p VC-1 video presentation, as well as 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Extras include an audio commentary and BD-Live.

6/22/09 Braveheart and Gladiator This September, Gump November
In what's probably the worst kept secret, Paramount has officially announced Braveheart and Gladiator for Blu-ray release on September 1st. Each release will feature 1080p AVC video presentations, and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks. The titles come under a new special edition wave called 'The Sapphire Series', which are exclusive to Blu-ray academy award releases. Also announced is Forrest Gump for November 3rd.
6/19/09 Slip Cover Database Updated
Our slip cover database has been updated a bit more, but we need your help! See a title that is missing a picture link? If you have it, please contact us with your pictures! The database is much better with picture proof or rare and not to so rare slip covers.
There is one special request, if anyone owns Daddy's Little Girls on Blu-ray and includes the slip cover, please submit, we will give out a Blu-ray for a picture of it. I know it exists as I had a not so great condition one, but I believe I accidentally threw it away. Thanks!
6/18/09 Hannah Montana: The Movie Details Announced
As you already know, Hannah Montana: The Movie is coming to Blu-ray on August 18th, in an ultimate Blu-ray+DVD+Digital Copy package. Disney has now announced the special features for the Blu-ray release.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the Hoedown Throwdown Home Experience, The Hannah Montana Store, 7 music videos, and BD-Live Radio Disney. Available on all releases is a Find Your Way Back Home featurette, production 101: Jackson Style, bloopers and deleted scenes.
6/16/09 The Last House On The Left Is Blu
Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced an August 18th release date for The Last House On The Left (2009). The release will come to Blu-ray with a 1080p video presentation, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, and both cuts of the film. Also included are deleted scenes, featurette, BD-Live, and a Digital Copy. 6/15/09 Paramount Officially Announces September Wave
Paramount has officially announced seven catalog titles for September, although the titles are not new to Blu-news viewers, who got a sneak peek of Paramount's slate two months ago.
The titles include Deep Impact, The Firm, The Score, K-19: The Widowmaker, 48 Hrs., Varsity Blues, and Escape from L.A. Each release will feature a 1080p AVC video presentation, 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track, and ported DVD extras. We also have your first look at cover art.

6/08/09 Blu Ninth Season For CSI
Paramount/CBS have announced a September 1st release date for the ninth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Previously released is the complete first season on Blu-ray, one that's worth checking out. Like the first season, each episode will be presented in 1080p AVC and 7.1 lossless audio. Bonus features have to be revealed, high-res cover art coming soon.

It looks like Fox will bring Bones: Season Four to Blu-ray, day and date with the DVD. While a release date has not been revealed, an Amazon.com pre-order reveals a 69.99 MSRP. If all goes as planned, it looks like Fox will be the one to beat when it comes to TV-on-Blu this year.

4/03/09 Seven Dwarfs Get Seven Exclusive Weeks On Blu-ray
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced that Snow White will debut on Blu-ray in a (Blu-ray/DVD combo pack) on October 6th, which isn't new. The new detail is that the DVD won't be available until 7 weeks later, on November 24th. This will be a fantastic title to give an exclusive time release wndow. The release of course will feature a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation, with a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track.
4/02/09 Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy Announced For May
Fox has officially announced the release of Seth McFarlane's Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy for Blu-ray. The release will feature the outrageous uncensored collection of animated shorts, but also includes never-before-seen episodes.
The release will come to Blu-ray with 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 encodes, as well as 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Yes, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, I had a couple of people e-mail to clarify, and have confirmed it.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced June 2nd release dates for Air Force One, Anaconda, and Glory. Each release will feature a 1080p video presentation, as well as 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Extras are all ported from the previous DVD releases, with the addition of BD-Live. High-res cover art coming soon!
